Helicopter Tower Assembly, an insight for Crews and Pilots // FPV, Drone, pilot perspective
Просмотров 4,9 тыс.2 года назад
I made this video to give new crews and also pilots new to this type of operation an insight in how the tower assembly is carried out. Obviously this is not a substitute for proper tower assembly training and there are several safety points that I did not include are included in the courses and SOP's. If you have questions about this video or this procedure, please let me know in the comments. ...

    Nice video....From a safety standpoint, it probably isn't wise to leave your phone on the seat like you did. It could fall on the floor and jam the controls. Just saying. It has happened before. Safe flying.

    Hi, Thank you very much for your videos, is that a reason why you would choose to fly over the water instead of over land with a load? Is it better having an engine failure over the lake or over land? Is that a company procedure? I'm about to getting started into lift and I'm just wandering what to do, and where and why to fly in a similar situation.

    • @deltacontet9482
      @deltacontet9482 Месяц назад

      Or was the water path preferable due to the cloud base?

    • @UpsideDownWash
      @UpsideDownWash Месяц назад

      yeah i think it was a pretty low cloud base over the tops, and the trail goes to the right of the water when im flying in to the cabin. try to avoid the places where there might be people as much as possible. its also very time saving in this case cause the tops to the right are quite a lot higher than it looks. but as a general rule we fly over land or very close to land whenever it is possible. an autorotation is one consideration you have to make, but there is a much higher chance of something falling of a load and potentially posing a danger to people on ground and that is usually what we try to mitigate

  • @juninhocavini
    @juninhocavini Месяц назад

    I've always been curious, thanks for showing it. Does the sensitivity decrease with speed? Regards from Brazil.

    • @UpsideDownWash
      @UpsideDownWash Месяц назад

      Interesting question! I would say they do not. The faster you are traveling the more energy you are manipulating with the controls. I'm not quite sure though if that is correct. You also have a much higher momentum going 100kts than in a hover so you will feel the g forces for example a lot more at higher speeds. At the same time it's more stable at a higher speed which allows for a larger margin of error (also you are usually at a much higher altitude, so the wrong input won't put you into the ground). Hovering requires a lot more small inputs all the time though... Honestly I don't know the answer😅

      da funker ikke den med utløser nede i kroken. da har man kun mulighet til å slippe hele hele linen og lasten fra buken (både elektrisk og med manuell utløser)
